§ 8-135. Removal.

  • If any ambulance volunteer refuses or neglects to attend any emergency, without submitting a sufficient and satisfactory excuse to the ambulance director, or shall neglect or refuse to do their duty as an ambulance volunteer, or shall refuse to obey the orders of a proper commanding officer, or violate or ignore any rule adopted by the board or council, the volunteer shall be subject to expulsion from the ambulance service upon the recommendation of the board and concurrence by the council. During the first 12 months of membership, a member shall serve on a probationary status and may be removed from the service by passage of a simple motion by a majority of the board without concurrence of the council.
