§ 8-130. Board of directors established.

  • The city ambulance service board of directors shall consist of five members, all of whom shall be selected from the company of ambulance volunteers. They shall be recommended by the board to the mayor and council for their approval each January. Members shall serve two-year terms. Two members shall be appointed in even-numbered years and three members shall be appointed in odd-numbered years. Membership shall include at least one driver, one ALS member, one paid employee member, and two volunteer EMTs. Paid member and ALS member may be the same individuals. In this case, three volunteer EMTs or two volunteer drivers shall make up the five individuals. The director of the ambulance service shall not be a member of the board of directors.
