§ 8-100. Authority to cite violations.

Fire officials acting under the authority of I.C.A. ch. 100 have the right, during reasonable hours, to enter any building or premises for the purpose of conducting inspections and investigations and issue citations in accordance with I.C.A. ch. 805 for violations of state and/or local fire safety regulations as is reasonably necessary to protect the public health, safety and welfare including the health and safety of firefighters in the potential need to fight a fire at any building or premises.
