§ 2-23. Appointments.

The mayor shall appoint the mayor pro tem. The mayor shall appoint the following officials, subject to council approval:

City treasurer.

(2)

City attorney.

(3)

Peace officer including the chief of police.

(4)

Fire chief.

(5)

First and second assistant fire chiefs.

(6)

Ambulance director.

(7)

Ambulance board.

(8)

Planning and zoning commission.

(9)

Zoning board of adjustment.

(10)

Zoning administrator.

(11)

Library board of trustees.

(12)

Park board.

(13)

Tree board.

(14)

Other officers and employees as authorized in this Code or by council action.
