§ 26-260. Riding on sidewalks.

  • No person shall ride a bicycle on a sidewalk except in accordance herewith:

    (1)

    Other locations. When signs are erected on any sidewalk or roadway prohibiting the riding of bicycles thereon by any person, no person shall disobey the signs.

    (2)

    Yield right-of-way. Whenever any person is riding a bicycle upon a sidewalk, the person shall yield the right-of-way to any pedestrian by turning off the sidewalk at all times when meeting or passing pedestrians and shall give audible signal before overtaking and passing.

    (3)

    Business district. The operation of a bicycle upon a sidewalk within the business district is expressly prohibited.
