§ 26-162. Temporary embargo.

  • The council may authorize the superintendent of public works to declare an embargo when it appears by reason of deterioration, rain, snow or other climatic conditions that certain streets will be seriously damaged or destroyed by vehicles weighing in excess of an amount specified by the superintendent. Signs shall be posted along any street embargoed, and no vehicle over the posted weight shall be operated on the street.
