§ 20-274. Definitions.

  • The following words, terms and phrases, when used in this article, shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this section, except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning:

    Minor means an unemancipated person who has not yet reached his 18th birthday.

    Parent means a person having legal custody of a minor as a natural or adoptive parent, as a legal guardian, as a person who stands in loco parentis, or by virtue of a court order.

    Street means a street, road, alley, sidewalk, public way, way or place, of whatever nature and irrespective of what the right-of-way is called, open to the use of the public as a matter of right for vehicular or pedestrian travel.
